Additional tests may be recommended, depending on the individual case:
- Karyotyping: This is particularly important in cases of severe male infertility, repeated pregnancy losses, or IVF failures to check for chromosomal abnormalities.
- Hysterosalpingography (HSG): Recommended if there is a history of pelvic infection, abdominal surgery, or endometriosis, to check for tubal or uterine abnormalities.
- Hysteroscopy: Used if there is a suspicion of uterine cavity problems.
- Laparoscopy: This may be performed if there is a suspicion of tubal damage or endometriosis and can also provide both diagnosis and treatment in a single procedure.
