Dr. Gunduz’s commitment to academic excellence led him to apply for associate professorship. His specialisation research and scientific articles played a vital role in his application. In late 2017, he passed the associate professorship examination with distinction, earning the well-deserved title of associate professor. During this period, he also received extensive training in Advanced Endoscopy.

Until 2021, Dr Gunduz served as a Clinical Instructor at the Antalya Training and Research Hospital, actively contributing to the training of medical assistants. His expertise and skillset allowed him to perform numerous complex surgeries. Notably, he specialises in Laparoscopic/Robotic Surgery, Oncological Surgery, and Obesity Surgery, demonstrating a particular interest in these fields.

Dr Gunduz is an esteemed member of various professional associations, including the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), the Turkish Society of Surgery, the National Society of Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery, the National Trauma and Emergency Surgery, and Antalya Breast Diseases Association. These affiliations underscore his dedication to staying updated with the latest advancements and best practices in his field.
